Online & In Store Layby
For New Zealand customers only, we offer TWO different layby options to help split up the payment of online and in store purchases.
Option 1: LAYBUY (via Laybuy.com)
LAYBUY is a secure external platform that lets you RECEIVE YOUR PURCHASE NOW, and spread the total cost over 6 weekly automatic payments. INTEREST FREE!
Simply look out for the blue logo, and select 'PAY BY LAYBUY' at the checkout
What is Laybuy?
Laybuy is a fancy new secure external app that lets you receive your purchase now and spread the total cost over 6 interest-free weekly automatic payments. Neat eh!
Just place your order online and select "Pay By Laybuy" at the checkout. Laybuy will then take you through the steps to handle the rest. We then ship out your order immediately! You then continue to make equal, interest-free weekly payments to Laybuy directly until your order is paid off. Only a sixth of the order total is due when you place your order and the rest is split over 5 weekly automatic payments.
Registration and a quick credit check with Laybuy is required first - this can be done at checkout while completing your order, or by first signing up at Laybuy.com. Full terms & conditions can be viewed on their website.
What about Returns/ Exchanges?
Our regular Returns Policy still applies. Please do not send anything back to us without making contact first. See here for more info.
Can I use the Laybuy app in store?
We currently do not have the facility to process sales with the Laybuy app in store (although this will be coming soon!). In the meantime, if you are shopping at our store in Nelson and would like to use this service - you can do so by placing your order online, select 'Laybuy' as your payment method as above and then select 'Click & Collect' as your shipping method to pick up your order in store.

Option 2: Standard Layby
For New Zealand based customers only, we offer a standard lay-by option to help split up the payment of online orders over a 4 week period.
This is the old skool layby we all know and love! Please note this is different to 'Laybuy' app (see above) and no extra registration or credit checks are required first.
- 20% minimum deposit is required to secure your order.
- 4 weeks to keep making payments until the order has been paid in full
- Payments can be made via internet banking or manual credit card over the phone (verification required)
- Your order will be shipped once payment is completed in full.
- Items will be held for 2 business days until deposit is received. If no contact is made the order will be cancelled and items released back into stock.
Do you offer Standard Layby in store?
We offer a standard layby service for in store purchases. Similar terms & conditions apply. Payments can be made in store in regular instalments; online via internet banking; or over the phone via credit card. 20% deposit is required to secure the items. 4 weeks to complete payment. Good will be held in store until full payment is completed. Please see in store for more details.
Our Standard Layby Terms (Online):
- Deposit: A non-refundable minimum 20% deposit (20% of the total retail price of the item) must be paid to secure/ begin the lay-by
- Cancellations: If the layby is cancelled, we will keep the 20% deposit as a cancellation fee
- Returns/Exchanges: Layby items cannot be exchanged or refunded after the lay-by has been finalised and collected (unless accepted as faulty)
- Multiple Items: No more than 3 items can be on lay-by at one time unless by special arrangement
- Payments: Lay-bys are payable by bank deposit only or credit card over the phone and are limited to New Zealand customers only.
How to start a Standard Layby online:
1. Place your order online and complete check-out as normal. When you select your payment method, choose the 'Standard Layby' option.
2. You will receive an Order Confirmation via email with your Order Number, our bank account details, Lay-By Instructions and Terms & Conditions.
3. Pay your minimum 20% deposit (or more if you wish) into our account via bank deposit -or call us to arrange payment via credit card over the phone. Be sure to use your Order Number (eg. 2078) as the payment reference. Contact us via one of the methods above and let us know you have paid your deposit.
4. When your first payment has cleared in our account, we will email you an updated copy of your receipt with the balance remaining. Your order has now been secured and your lay-by has started!
5. Keep making regular payments to pay off your order. You have 4 weeks to complete payment in full. Please email or call us when you've made each payment so we can look out for it to show up in our bank account and apply it to your lay-by. When you make a payment we will email you an updated receipt with the balance still left to pay.
6. Once you've made your final payment, we will get your order shipped out asap!
You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email with your tracking details.
